Click parquet – also known as engineered flooring is made of two or three layers of wood. European factories are producing top layer mainly from common wood species like oak and ash. Still some exotic wood species are used. The middle layer is softwood strips that are glued to crosswise direction to top layer, also HDF as mid layer is used. Middle layer gives to parquet it’s stability. Due to humidity changes in room wood starts to “play” and middle layer lowers the ability for top layer to expand or shrink. The third bottom layer is stabilizing softwood or birch veneer. Modern engineered parquet is mainly produced so that it can be installed without glue – so said as CLICK PARQUET. This system enables fast installation and also disassembly. The parquet is installed to thin layer of installation foam or glued down to subfloor as client wishes.
